Larkin Street Lighting

January 2016 – present · San Francisco

A creative lighting project to create connection, activity, and culture.

Our City was contracted by the Tenderloin Community Benefit District in San Francisco to manage and produce Phase I of Larkin Street Lighting – a new initiative to make the Larkin Street corridor more vibrant, attractive, and safe with world-class art that uses light as a creative medium.
We developed a customized process to create an open call for proposals, reach out to local designers for submissions, convene an expert jury to select Finalists, engage the local community directly with the proposed designs, and produce a Final Proposal that reflects public input.
